Design Process:

Client collaboration is the starting point for any design project to ensure that the design meets the client’s programming needs, tastes, budget, and schedule. An initial consultation to visit the site and learn of your ideas and needs is the first step. A written proposal will outline the scope of services and fees. Upon acceptance of the proposal, a base map will be prepared and the site analyzed to understand its natural and cultural features. A conceptual plan will be created, often offering different alternatives. After receiving client feedback, the plan will be further developed and construction drawings prepared. If requested, bids will be obtained from qualified contractors and construction observation services will be provided.

“Mary possesses a great knowledge of landscape architecture. She knows how to design site features in relationship to the community, enhancing the site and adding value to the community. She works well as a member of a team, communicating well with team members and clients. I have worked with Mary since 1991 and highly recommend her.”
Gerald Green, former Principal at GreenPlan

After seeing good landscape architecture work for another resident in my neighborhood, and the very-professional plans submitted to our Town's design review board, I contacted Ms. Weber about my own needs at my historic 1924 house. Besides engineering expertise replacing a driveway and other hardscape issues, I needed a master plan for horticulture enhancements suitable for my limited-maintenance requirement, the very shady growing conditions,  and a somewhat complex topography. The plans and costs were reasonable, the supervision and cooperation with the contractor were excellent, and I am pleased with the results. Ms. Weber has good listening skills, incorporating the client criteria appropriately and creatively into her recommendations."
Mike McCue, Biltmore Forest

“I have a beautiful, natural landscaped yard thanks to Mary's expertise and creativity. With native trees and shrubs, rock walls and mulched paths, Mary's design matched my dreams and my budget”.
Noel Nickle, Kenilworth
